Singer A is a London-based singer/songwriter who is fast making her mark as one of the brightest stars of the international music scene. A multi award-winning vocalist, songwriter and recording artist, her powerful, evocative voice, stunning vocal range and captivating stage presence have earned her an enviable international reputation.
Her musical upbringing started with the family record player. Soul, Motown, Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Jazz, Pop and Classical music (her paternal grandmother was a mezzo-soprano) could all be heard rolling up the staircase in her family home. Out of the speakers came a mix of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley and Luciano Pavarotti. At the age of 8 she took up the piano and at 14 began training as classical singer, but her passion for singing Soul, Jazz, Country and Pop took over and by the age of 16 she was performing on stage.
She has toured the world performing at festivals, clubs, concerts, on TV and radio and has made guest appearances throughout the USA, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. In the short time that she has been in the UK she has been making a huge impact on the jazz and soul scene and is very much in demand. She is available as a duo option with guitar or piano and performs as a wedding singer in London and the UK.
